Subject: Space United unveils new jersey collaboration with Club for the Future

Space United, a soccer club founded by engineer-athletes from space ventures and an organization that unites space and soccer to inspire communities, has collaborated with Blue Origin’s foundation, Club for the Future, on a front jersey partnership to promote diversity and make space further accessible for all.

Space United’s jersey, which won a national lower league “battle of the kits” contest, will feature “Club for the Future” front and center on the jersey enhancing Space United’s original rocket plume and rocket crest design. Together, these elements make the jersey look sleek and futuristic, making a statement in both style and significance to the community and their supporters.

Space United’s unique community outreach program, Goal for Launch, is led by its own engineer-athletes and has already been inspiring students around the world by offering them new perspectives on STEM and representing as Latinx rocket engineers who are also passionate athletes.

To expand community and education efforts, Space United recently worked with Club for the Future to create a custom “Postcards to Space” program encouraging students to imagine the future of sports in space. Students around the world have already submitted many postcards to Club for the Future and look forward to having their vision of sports in space fly onboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket.

Space United also intends to take its amateur soccer team professional in the near future and is excited to elevate the space team and game day experience with multicultural crowds and a STEM game-day experience to build a cross-cultural space and soccer community that supports one another.

“Space and soccer give people hope and the means to achieve and change lives,” says Space United Founder and Blue Origin engineer Camilo Tobacia. “We want people from all walks of life to be inspired by what they are capable of and continue to find support in a community that understands the significance of sharing each other's success.”

We are looking forward to seeing what this amazing collaboration will bring to King County and beyond!
