Director of Soccer Methodology

As our academy coach and performance specialist, Fabian brings both his exceptional academic background in the integrative field of Sports Science, along with his extensive work experience with world class soccer clubs and his lifetime of passion for soccer. 

While pursuing his degree in Sports Science, at Colombia’s University Manuela Beltrán, Fabian not only immersed himself in both his studies in this comprehensive field incorporating biology, psychology and kinesthetics, to truly understand the body and how to achieve best athletic performance, but he also gained invaluable work experience in conjunction with his studies. 

While in school, Fabian was selected to work in an international soccer exchange program in Santiago de Chile. Fabian coached and worked with program directors of a local school on curriculum development and athletic formation stage development. He also gained valuable experience as a talent scout for different age groups, developing a keen sense of players and their potential within the game. In addition to his international experience in Chile, Fabian also worked as a soccer coach with the youth academies at one of Colombia’s top soccer clubs- Independiente Santa Fe.

After graduating with his degree in Sports Science, Fabian further developed into a knowledgeable, personable and impactful coach and performance specialist through his career and certifications. He began his career with the Portuguese professional soccer club FC Porto, where he currently continues to excel in youth coaching and honing his scouting of talented athletes. In addition, Fabian also became professionally certified as a Specialist in Scouting and Game Analysis from MBP School of Coaches in Barcelona, Spain and holds a Soccer Coach A certification in the Colombian Soccer Federation.

Throughout Fabian’s career, he has not only made commendable accomplishments in his studies and career, but he has also been deeply involved in strengthening the community, by bringing sports and education together, for youth in underserved regions. Fabian worked with the Cajicá Sports Institute in Colombia to implement a new talent scouting program in different sports disciplines in combination with providing better opportunities in education. 

Lastly, Fabian is a skilled and passionate athlete with a lifetime of experience playing soccer. In his spare time, he helps at a reputable local Colombian club, CFC Ajax, that was founded by his father in 1998, and has since then brought the community together with positivity and passion for decades.
